FTPS Access

The FTPS site is compatible with any FTPS client, but the most popular free/open source client is FileZilla. You can download the client at the following URL:

http://filezilla-project.org/download.php

Once you've downloaded the client, you can setup your connection

For the Host  entry, enter www.yourdomain.com for your domain.

Note also the Server Type is set to FTP over Explicit TLS/SSL. This setting is sometimes found under security or advanced settings in other clients.

Once you are connected, you will see the following directories.

The following directories are provided by default with the described permissions to kick start your ability to use secure file transfers:

·         incoming - This directory has read and write access to both you and all client accounts.

·         pub - This directory has read access to all client accounts, but only write access for your account.

·         private - This directory only has read and write access for you. This directory can be used to communicate files privately between the two of us securely.

·         incoming-ClientX - This directory has write access for the equivalent Client FTP User Account as well as your account. It is designed for communication/sharing of files with distinct clients.

·         website - This is a virtual directory pointing to your web site. It only has read and write access for your account alone.
