The next generation of inline protection

Vault Ecommerce has released a new component of their security information and event management technology and managed service offering. This release includes inline protection options allowing customers to protect and respond against strategic threats driven by intelligence from our SIEM technology.

Historically, IPS solutions typically provide inline protection against signatured attacks, limited in intelligence to well known risks and techniques used by hackers. As hackers have evolved to often now target the applications and business aspects of our environments, typical inline solutions often fail to prevent threats tailored to specific industries and business. Vault Ecommerce is partnering with a best of breed firewall provider to be announced soon that will allow high speed integration of SIEM intelligence and threat management with their inline configuration.

This intelligence will allow a new generation of policy options, including GIS (Geographic Information System) based rules to block countries, states, or specific areas of concern to businesses. The below screenshot demonstrates the new GIS driven technology being integrated with Bing Maps through Vault Ecommerce.
